Andrea is a Jeff Award winning
actress with memberships in Equity Sag and VASTA. She holds
an MFA in acting (Meisner and Linklater), and was a long time student of Uta Hagen. Andrea has performed in numerous productions
in Chicago,
as well as on the east coast. Her favorite roles include Little Red in Into the Woods,
and Laura in The Glass Menagerie. She played Dawn
in American pemeire of WRENS, by Anne McGravie, produced by the Rivendell Theatre Ensemble, published by Dramatic Publishing.
You may have seen her in Tide commercials (among others) or on CBS’s Early
Edition. Her favorite commercial is "Rhino Pet" for the Denver Zoo. (link above)
She is a two time finalist with the Literary Magazine, Glimmertrain, her
short Stories have been honored in the Open Fiction Contest, www.glimmertrain.org.

She is featured in the 2005 Indie Journeyman, which has recently won at the Twin Rivers Multimedia festival and was an Official Selection at the Idaho Panhandle
International Film Festival.

She hosts a cable show entitled “Film Forum” broadcasting from Glendale Community College’s
TV station. With intrepid cameraman Scot Stalnaker she covers the GCC Cowboy Tournament.
Andrea’s theatre career is multifaceted. She has worked as a casting director for features and commercials
while running her own acting studio as well as working as “Chicago’s premiere private
acting coach,” as she became known in the wilds of Chicago.
She chronicled her ideas in her own column in Chicago’s
theatre trade paper, PerformInk. All of this going on while she was acting on stage and TV.

She feels greatly influenced, as a teacher and actress, by her late mentor Uta Hagen, and by her Linklater voice
teacher, Claudia Anderson of DePaul University.
As a writer Andrea studies through the Gotham Writer’s Workshop and is a reader for the literary magazine
Eclipse, published for Glendale Community College, CA. She is a two time finalist
in Glimmertrain's Fiction Open Contest. Her original piece After The Ball, has been in production in Colorado, her original monologues and scenes are used by her private students, Ensemble
Theatre Productions, and by students at the Raven Theatre Workshops and the Aurora Fox Theatre Education Outreach program.
Andrea's original theatre exercises for the public speaking classroom and oral interpretation performance are
currently being published in a special edition of Public Speaking: Challenges and Choices by O'Hair, Stewart, Bedford/St. Martins.

Andrea teaches acting and voice. At Glendale Community College
she coaches and teaches for the Theatre and Speech Divisions. She is an assistant coach to the award winning Speech Team newly formed in 2005. In June 2007 six of her
students took medals in the GCC Intramural Speech Competition.
In Spring 2008, for the third year in a row Andrea's Speech Students at GCC swept the Intramural tournament in
Informative and Persuasive Speaking! SIX of the top seven students placing 1st-3rd in Persuasive were her students and THREE
of the top seven in Informative were her students! Now that's a SWEEP!Congrats to all those who competed,
you are talented and most of all DEDICATED!
She offers campus wide vocal production workshops and private voice instruction
including dialect reduction (with great respect for culture). You can see her on the Theatre website for GCC. As of Fall 08
Andrea has stopped teaching Speech so she can focus on her Theatre students, writing, and other studies!

She is a professional acting, voice and dialect coach offering indivdiual sessions and master class or workshop
formats. She also teaches presentation skills and vocal skills to Studios, such as Nickelodeon in Burbank, as well as
businesses and colleges.
Andrea is consistently nominated for and listed in Who's Who in America, Who's Who of American Women, and Who's
Who of American Educators. In 2007she was been awarded the University of Texas at Austion NISOD Excellence in Teaching
Award and she is a nominee for The Glendale College Academic Senate Award for Exceptional Adjunct Faculty, she is
an Adjunct Assistant Professor of Theatre.
Andrea is a Reiki Master and Intuitive.
